Home Ministry sets up special Naxal desk
Monday, October 23, 2006 (New Delhi):
Concerned over the latest trend of inter-state arms procurement by Naxalites and spurt in violence by the ultras, the Union Home Ministry has set up a special Naxal Desk headed by an Additional Secretary rank officer Vinay Kumar.
The decision to set up the special desk was taken recently by the Centre, sources in the MHA said.
They said that a meeting of the Task Force on Naxalites will be held on October 27. (PTI)
