CPI-ML (New Democracy) open letter says he was expelled for anti-party activities
HYDERABAD: The Khammam district committee of the CPI-ML (New Democracy) has said that Bandi Ramesh, who allegedly led the revolt against the police resulting in firing by the latter at Mudigonda, was expelled from the party.
News item
In an open letter, it denied a news item published by ‘Ganashakti’, a publication of CPI (M) in West Bengal, that Ramesh quit the party as it was forging alliance with Congress before last elections. The item was false as CPI-ML (New Democracy) had never tried have pact with the Congress or any other party representing the ruling classes, it said. He was expelled from party for anti-party activities. He never claimed to have any political differences with the party leadership, the letter said.
Contradictory
The open letter, which was addressed to a CPI (M) delegation from West Bengal that visited Mudigonda, criticised the Marxist party for its contradictory stands on firings at Nandigram and Mudigonda and shifting loyalties between the Telugu Desam Party and Congress.
